Seller Description

2000 BMW M Roadster - Low Miles - 35K
VIN# WBSCK9340YLC93317
MILEAGE: 35,342

The Story of this Car:
This 2000 BMW M Roadster shows just 35k miles and is finished in Imola Red over black leather. The car was acquired by my father, Certified Pre-Owned by BMW. My father was its second owner. Powered by a 3.2-liter S52 inline-six paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox, it is bone stock - save for the upgraded, modern stereo, with Bluetooth hand-free wireless and a connection for modern hand-held devices. The original stereo also comes with the car.

My father lived in Pennsylvania and bought the car at Sun Motors in Central PA. The car had 29k miles on it when he purchased it. The car has been garaged it's entire life, and currently sits in my garage, under a cloth cover - which also comes with the car.

The driving experience of this car is two things: Excessive power, and nimble handling. It is classic in the sense that it is a rear-wheel-drive sports car with a torquey motor paired with a manual transmission. While cornering it is very possible to break the back wheels loose in third gear. That is if you're into that kind of thing. You would be hard-pressed to find a more real driving experience in a modern car - the feel of driving is very, very present with this car.

While it is damn near a vintage car, it has modern conveniences. The roof has a power retraction system, the windows are, of course, powered, the seats are heated, and the AC blows cold. Driving in the late fall - or even a sunny dry winter day - with the top down and the heater blasting is a real - and rare - pleasure.

All systems are currently working, it has a fresh detail job. The only detractors are a slight ding in the right front wheel (about 2 inches of scuff) and a scuff on the right front air dam that you can not really see. This car is low to the ground, and those scuffs are from a parking error. I scraped a curb gently.

My father passed 2 years ago - and I kept the car. One of the last things we did together was go for a Sunday drive in Perry County PA (see the picture of my dad). I have two college-aged kids and a middle schooler. And, right now, have not the room or the time to love this car the way it needs to be loved. Hence, you can own a near-vintage sports car with very low miles.

Location:
This car is in Hood River - and I will not be able to drive the car for potential buyers to see. I do not want to put the miles - or the dirt - on the car. If you come to Hood River on a nice day, and we can take it for a nice little test drive.

Pricing:
I have thought about this. If you go on the website bringatrailer.com you can search for similar examples. There is range in that pricing, but the best examples are close to my asking. You can also look at the website mroadsterbuyersguide.com, and if you look in the mileage range of this car - and the rarity of the color - I feel like this is very fair. You can find these way cheaper - but way more used, and less babied. Blue Book is not a valuable resource for pricing a rare car like this.

I am in no rush to sell this, and can wait for the person that really wants to love this car.

It looks like a very nice, mostly stock roadster with a great history. I think the price is fair.
