2002 BMW M Roadster
78k miles
5 speed manual transmission
Excellent condition!
This 2002 M Roadster is one of only 678 S54 M Roadsters made for the United States.
If you're looking at this, you probably already know that from 2001-2002 BMW put the S54 Engine (319hp) from the E46 M3 into this car, resulting in a lightweight rocket ship that for some reason nobody back then really wanted to buy.
However, history has smiled kindly on the s54 Roadster and Coupe and many consider it to be one of the best M Cars BMW ever made.
This particular example is a completely stock 3 owner car, with 78K miles.
You'd be challenged to find a door ding or a scratch on the body or the wheels. It really is in excellent condition.
Recent maintenance includes the following:
New Convertible top
New Brake Pads and rotors
New shocks
The shifter was recently completely refreshed with all new BMW bushings, shims and pivots
No subframe issues
All fluids were changed this summer including coolant, brakes, power steering, transmission and differential
The seat slider bushings were redone (this is a common Z3 problem that requires $18 in parts and quite a few hours of labor to fix).
Simply put, this is an excellent example of a rare care that will probably appreciate in value.
The coupes are already commanding $40K + and clean examples of S54 roadsters are becoming harder to come by. This is a car that you can drive everyday and enjoy.
I'm a car enthusiast who can't afford to maintain a collection, so instead I purchase interesting cars, enjoy them for as long as I wish and then sell them. I take extremely good care of all my vehicles and this one is no exception. Please feel free to text or call with questions.
