Seller Description

The 1999 BMW M Roadster shows 104k miles and is finished in Evergreen over a two-tone Evergreen and Black Nappa leather interior. The car is one of just 176 North American examples finished in this color combination and was acquired by the seller from the original owner four years ago. The 3.2-liter S52 straight-six is backed by a 5-speed manual gearbox, and recent maintenance included reinforcing the subframe, as well as replacing the battery, spark plugs, fuel filter, and clutch slave cylinder. Modifications include a Remus exhaust system, strut tower brace, ST coilovers, an aftermarket air intake, UUC short shifter, and 19″ BBS-style wheels. The car is now being offered with a factory hardtop, the original BMW Style 40 wheels, a clean Carfax, and a Clean Florida title in the seller’s name.

All panels remain original according to the seller, and the Evergreen (358) finish shows well in photos. The driver-side panel above the rocker and below the fender has been repainted, and rock chips are noted on the front bumper.

A set of 19″ replica BBS LM wheels were installed and wear Falken tires with 50% tread life remaining according to the seller. The original Style 40 wheels will be included in the sale and have been plastic-dipped as shown in the gallery below. The suspension has been modified with ST coilovers on all four corners.

Per the seller, the soft top is showing its age, and the plastic window was replaced two years ago. The OEM hardtop is said to remain in good condition and includes all hardware necessary for installation.

The two-tone Evergreen and Black Nappa leather interior features a UUC short shift kit, new radio speakers, a modified stock head unit with Bluetooth capability, and upgraded seat bushings. The seller notes the dial that controls the HVAC is broken, the clutch needs pedal bushings, and the center console has a small crack. An OEM Evergreen replacement console will be included.

The 3.2-liter S52 straight-six was rated at 240 hp and 236 lb-ft or torque when new. A recent service included replacing the battery, spark plugs, fuel filter, clutch slave cylinder, and all fluids. Per the seller, the cooling system is due for an overhaul, and a new water pump and belts will be included. A strut tower brace was installed along with a Remus cat-back exhaust system.

The rear subframe has been reinforced and new polyurethane bushings were also installed. The rear shock mounts were replaced with Rogue units, and the according to the seller the flex disc (guibo) should be replaced soon.

The Carfax shows two owners, 20 service records, and no accident damage. The videos below include a walk-around, cold start, and the car revving.

Great color combo with a hard top, subframe reinforcement and nice looking BBS LM replicas. It's in pretty good shape overall but needs a little TLC as mentioned in the listing. We'll see what it goes for.
