2001 and 2002 were the only years this model included the most powerful S54 engine. Production numbers worldwide were very low. A combined total of approximately 1600 of these cars were built in 2001 and 2002. Today a really nice original example is very difficult to find. If you are looking you will occasionally find the pre 2001 lower spec cars and usually in marginal condition.
This one is excellent. It has perfect service records from the best local service tech. Has a new complete factory clutch assembly including the very expensive dual mass flywheel. Starts instantly every time. Idles perfectly, revs easily and smoothly with sewing machine smoothness. It has the legendary power of the hand built M series S54 engine. Shifting is perfect. Handling is outstanding. Under hood is very clean as you would expect of a well maintained performance car.
If you like the BMW M cars you will love this car.
