Seller Description

This 2000 BMW M Roadster is finished in Alpine White III over Imola Red and black Nappa leather and powered by a 3.4-liter S52 inline-six paired with a ZF 5-speed manual transmission. The car was acquired by its current owner in 2000 from his brother-in-law, who had driven it just 320 miles after purchasing it new. Regular maintenance is said to have been performed under current ownership, and the oil and filter were changed in 2017. This M Roadster shows 36k miles and is offered by a friend of its current owner with a clean Carfax report, receipts, literature, and a clean California title in the owner’s name.

The car is finished in Alpine White III, and the seller reports that no bodywork or repainting have been performed under current ownership. The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage. A scuff is reported on the rear bumper cover, and a chip in the windshield can be seen in the gallery below.

Factory 17″ Roadstar 5-spoke wheels wear Kumho Ecsta ASX radial tires. Two wear spots are noted above one of the bows in the fabric top. The seller reports that the car has not been used on track.

The interior is finished in Imola Red and black Nappa leather, and M logo floor mats cover the carpeting in the footwells. The seller reports that the passenger-side seat belt guide needs replacement.

The leather-wrapped M Sport steering wheel fronts a pod of chrome-ringed gauges retaining advisory decals. The odometer shows 36k miles, all of which except 320 have been added by the owner. Three stock secondary gauges are located in the center console along with a factory stereo.

The 3.2-liter DOHC inline-six was originally rated at 240 horsepower and 236 lb-ft of torque for the US market. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a ZF 5-speed manual transmission and standard limited-slip differential. The oil and filter were reportedly changed 1,000 miles ago in late 2017, while the details of a 2016 service are listed in an included invoice.

Service and repair work has reportedly been carried out at The Black Forest or Auburn Autohaus in Auburn, California throughout the car’s life. Additional undercarriage photos are available in the gallery.

The Carfax shows continuous California registration with no accidents or other damage from 2000-2016.
