Seller Description

This 2000 BMW M Roadster is finished in optional Steel Grey Metallic over black Nappa leather and was sold new at Endurance Motorcars of Mount Kisco, New York. The car remained with the original owner until a few months ago, when it was acquired by the seller following three years of storage. The odometer now shows 79k miles, and power is from a 3.2-liter S52 inline-six paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. Over $5k in refurbishment was commissioned by the seller, including new Bilstein shocks, H&R springs, brake rotors and pads, tires, power steering components, and more as outlined below. The driver seat was also partially reupholstered and the wheels were refinished. This M Roadster is now being offered with the original window sticker, factory manuals, recent receipts, a Carfax report, and a clean Connecticut title in the seller’s name.

Steel Grey Metallic paint was a $1,810 option, and just 198 M Roadsters were finished in this color over the five year production run. The convertible top on this example was reportedly replaced about two years ago and is shown from a number of angles in the gallery below. The Carfax shows accidents in 2000 and 2013, both of which were described reportedly described as fender benders by the original owner. The trunk was also damaged from a falling branch, after which it was repaired and repainted.

Refurbishment over the last three months included refinishing the 17″ Roadstar wheels and mounting new tires. The following new items were also installed:

  • Bilstein B8 shocks/struts
  • H&R springs
  • Brake rotors
  • Brake pads
  • Brake sensors

The car comes equipped with a Harman-Kardon 10-speaker sound system, as well as roll hoops and an optional CD player. The driver’s lower cushion was reupholstered by the seller, and a new shift knob was also installed.

79k miles are currently on the odometer, 680 of which were added by the seller. The airbag sensor is not functioning and needs to be replaced.

The 3.2-liter S52 inline-six was rated 240 horsepower from the factory. During the seller’s three months of ownership, the car has received an oil and lube service, a new fuel valve, and new traction control sensors. The power steering system was also refurbished with new lines, fluid, and reservoir.

The original window sticker is included, showing the factory colors and options, as well as an MSRP of over $45k.

The original owner’s manual, booklets, and a variety of other pamphlets from the time of purchase also come with the car.

The Carfax shows the two accidents along with the longtime original ownership in New York.

We saw this roadster for sale earlier this summer. Special ordered cars are always cool. It sounds like quite a bit has been done to bring this one back to shape. I'm excited to see what it goes for.
