2000 M-Roadster
5sp
S52 BMW M3 engine from factory
only 52,000 original miles
Imola red
Heated seats
Power top
The good:
-All stock - no modifications
-Air conditioning just serviced over the summer.
-Replaced both driver and passenger seat bushings (common z3 issue)
-Replaced glove box latch, no sagging at all (also a common z3 issue)
-New front tires about a year ago
-Rear tires still in great shape
-Clutch is perfect, zero slip, perfect engagement
-Transmission shifts tight and better than most bmw's I've ever owned or driven. The 3.15 rear end ratio is by far the best use of the s52 power delivery.
-All original body panels with all matching vin on all panels
-No leaks from the convertible top all drainage cleaned and/or corrected
-Illuminated original shifter still works
-Sourced an original BMW cd43 business radio (which are getting hard to find and rather expensive!)
-New battery about a month ago.
The Not So Good
-The previous owner replaced the rear window rather hastily- doesn't leak but should be redone
-Power top died a week into my ownership, and was converted to manual use
-Car was a few nicks in the paint, but no dents or rust.
-rear subframe (crossmember) should be reinforced as this is also a common z3 issue (I sourced another original and had camber and caster plates welded in and have all associated poly/delrin bushings including the differential bushing but never installed) will come with sale.
Overall a clean, all original car with low miles in beautiful Imola red. I've only put 1k-1200 miles in my 2 years of ownership. I have a few cars and currently this is the least practical for me, so I'd prefer to sell it rather than let it sit in the driveway. Mostly driven around town and train station on nice days. Current mileage at 52,680.
Price is negotiable.
No trades other than an e30 touring (must be Lhd) which I'm currently searching for.
