Seller Description

2000 BMW Z3M CONVERTIBLE ROADSTER
Timeless is the word used to describe this rare performance car. The popular Z3 roadster becomes a true performance and collectable car in the rare M model.

Only a very few manufactured; less of those available today!
Only 4338 Z3M were produced in 2000 and Total Number in Cosmos Black Metallic over Imola Red & Black Nappa for 2000 Model Year: 63 manufactured (#6 produced*).

What makes the M model desirable and unique? Style, performance, handling. “This is a classic in the making. The M Roadster was called the best handling car in the world in 2002 by Top Gear and the handling is stunning. The engine is loaded with torque and makes the most intoxicating roar when you romp on it.” The Z3 M Roadster was introduced in 1996 as the high performance version of the BMW Z3. Cosmetic differences between the Z3 M and the standard Z3 models included front and rear bumpers, gills, boot and mirrors.

In the 5 years from 1998 to 2002, approximately 15,000 M Roadsters were produced. This is compared to the 300,000 standard Z3s produced in the same timeframe.
The M roadster is electronically limited to a top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph).

Like all Z3 models, the M Coupe and Roadster's suspension is made up of MacPherson struts in the front and semi-trailing arms in the rear. However, compared to the six-cylinder Z3 roadster, the M roadster included modifications such as wider front and rear tracks (by 0.4 in (10.2 mm)), reduced ride height (by 1.1 in (27.9 mm)), modified front suspension geometry, firmer springs and shocks, thicker anti-roll bars, stronger semi-trailing arms and a reinforced subframe.
Front tires were 225/45ZR17 and rear tires were 245/40ZR17. The wheel sizes were 7.5x17-inch at the front and 9x17-inch at the rear.

The gearbox is a ZF Type C 5-speed manual. The final drive is either 3.23:1 (S52) or 3.15:1 (S50 and S54). A limited slip differential with a maximum locking of 25 percent is standard.
The S52 engine produces 179 kW (240 bhp) at 6,000rpm and 320 N⋅m (240 lb⋅ft) at 3,800rpm.

Body, tires, engine very good. Seats are showing wear. Driver seat needs a repair/seat cover. Button on back pocket of jeans wore the stitches on the seat - but wanted to keep everything on the car original in case that was important to the new owner.

Selling because there is no longer room in our garage for it. It deserves a nice garage space!

Very cool color combo. It doesn't look like it's true now, but it shows it originally had a blue soft top as well which is weird. It looks mostly stock besides the audio headunit. The price is optimistic for the mileage.
