Seller Description

This 2000 BMW M Roadster is finished in Imola Red over a black and red leather interior and powered by a 3.2-liter S52 inline-six paired with a five-speed manual transmission. Additional equipment consists of heated sport seats, a Harman Kardon stereo with aftermarket speakers, a black soft top, and a color-matched factory hard top. The car was acquired by the seller from its original owner through a January 2018 BaT auction, and subsequent service included replacement of the right front wheel as well as the tires, struts, springs, and fluids. This Z3M now shows 25k miles and is offered with a hardtop hoist and stand, service records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean New Jersey title in the seller’s name.

The car is finished in Imola Red (405) and features a power-operated black soft top as well as M-specific quadruple tailpipes, fender vents, and valances. A color-matched hardtop is included in the sale. The front bumper cover was repainted on the right side following a curb scrape under current ownership.

Factory 17″ Style 40 wheels are mounted with staggered-width Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires showing 2017 date codes. The springs, struts, and right front wheel have been replaced since the 2018 auction.

The cockpit features heated and power-adjustable sport seats trimmed in red and black Nappa leather with matching door panels and plastics. Amenities include air conditioning and a stock stereo paired with aftermarket speakers. The car is also equipped with cruise control, heated and power-adjustable mirrors, and front and side airbags.

An M-Sport steering wheel frames silver-ringed instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and a digital odometer which shows just under 25k miles, 2k of which were added under current ownership. A clock and gauges for oil pressure and voltage are located in the center stack.

The 3.2-liter S52 inline-six was factory rated at 240 horsepower and drives the rear wheels through a ZF five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. A fluid change was performed in May 2019.

Additional images of the underside can be viewed in the gallery below.

The December 2019 Carfax report shows two owners with history in Iowa, Illinois, Florida and New Jersey, and indicates no accidents or other damage from October 1999 to December 2018.

The car is supplied with a rolling stand, hoist, and removal tool for the hardtop as well as two keys, service records, and a hand-written fuel log from the previous owner.

Sold to a high bid of $24,500 or $25,725 with buyer fee which is a pretty strong result.

As mentioned in the listing, we last saw this roadster on Bring a Trailer last year. It only has a couple thousand new miles and still looks great. The hard top is the biggest plus. Bidding is currently at $16,300.
