This 2000 BMW M Roadster has been registered in South Carolina since new and was purchased in 2018 by the seller, who is its second owner and has added just over 8k of its 52k indicated miles. The car is finished in silver with a black soft top over a red and black leather interior, and power is from a 3.2-liter S52 inline-six paired with a five-speed manual transmission. Additional equipment includes heated seats, Harmon Kardon audio, and a limited-slip differential. An oil change was performed in December 2019. This two-owner M Roadster is offered with a car cover, clean Carfax and AutoCheck reports, and a clean South Carolina title in the seller’s name.
The M Roadster featured unique styling compared to that of the standard Z3, including more aggressive front and rear bumper covers, fender vents with M badging, and quadruple exhaust tips. This example is finished in Titanium Silver (354) with a black soft top, which is photographed in both its lowered and raised positions. Photos show chips, cracks, and other blemishes on the front valance and rear bumper cover.
Factory staggered-width 17″ Style 40 wheels wear Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires with 2017 date codes in the front and Continental ExtremeContact Sport rubber from 2016 in the rear.
The cabin is trimmed in Imola Red and Black Nappa leather (Q6IM). Factory amenities include a leather-wrapped Motorsport steering wheel, a Harman Kardon sound system, heated seats, air conditioning, and cruise control.
Chrome trim rings surround the 160-mph speedometer and tachometer, the latter of which indicates a 6,800-rpm redline. The digital odometer shows just under 53k miles, 8k of which were added by the seller over 20 months of ownership.
The 3.2-liter S52 inline-six features dual overhead camshafts and VANOS variable valve timing, and was rated at 240 horsepower with 236 lb-ft of torque when new. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a ZF five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The previous owner had the valves adjusted at 32k miles according to the seller, and an oil change was carried out in December 2019.
The February 2020 Carfax report indicates no accidents or other damage and shows registration in South Carolina with two owners including the seller. A similar AutoCheck report is provided in the gallery.
A fitted car cover, tool kit, rear window protector and manufacturer’s literature are included in the sale.
