This 2000 BMW M Roadster shows 64k miles and is finished in Alpine White over an Imola Red and Black leather interior. Its 3.2-liter S52 inline-six is said to have been modified with a Dinan supercharger and a Dinan exhaust system by a BMW dealership prior to the original owner taking possession of the car. Factory equipment includes a five-speed manual transmission, a 25% limited-slip differential, a black convertible top, and a body-color hardtop. The seller reportedly acquired the car from its original owner in early 2020. This E36/7 M Roadster is now offered with a hardtop stand, two sets of keys and fobs, a clean Carfax report, and a clean New York title in the seller’s name.
The exterior is finished in Alpine White III (300), and a color-matched hardtop is included in the sale and shown above. Additional photos of the car with both the hardtop and the black convertible top in place can be viewed in the gallery below, and a hardtop stand and hardtop covers are included with the sale. The M Roadster includes exterior details that differentiate it from the base Z3 roadster, such as revised front and rear valances, wider fender flares, and side vents behind the front wheels. Factory quad exhaust tips have been replaced by the Dinan dual exhaust, and Dinan badging has been added to the trunk lid. The seller notes a scratch on the rear bumper, and a photo of this can be viewed in the gallery below.
Staggered-width 17″ Style 40 wheels are wrapped in Cooper Zeon RS3-A tires measuring 225/45 in front and 245/40 at the rear. Photos in the gallery below depict curb rash on some wheels.
The cabin is trimmed in Imola Red and Black Nappa leather (Q6IM), and features include an M Sport steering wheel, heated sport seats, air conditioning, and a Harman Kardon sound system with a BMW Business cassette player and a trunk-mounted six-disc CD changer.
Factory instrumentation includes a 160-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, voltage, and oil temperature. The digital odometer shows just under 64k miles, approximately 500 of which have been added by the seller, who notes that the analog clock mounted in the center console is inoperable.
The 3.2-liter S52 inline-six reportedly was modified by the original selling dealership with a Dinan supercharger and tune. Recent service is said to have included replacing the belts, changing the oil, flushing the coolant and the brake fluid, and installing a new heater control cable.
Dinan exhaust components can be seen above, and additional photos of the underbody can be viewed in the gallery below.
The February 2020 Carfax report shows no accidents or other issues, and it documents events in Connecticut and New York from February 2001 through January 2020.
