Seller Description

1998 BMW M Roadster (This is not your average BMW Z car!)
The M model of the Roadster was a $10,000 upgrade option. If you just want a BMW Z car for its looks, this is not the car for you. This is a performance sports car and is a collector’s vehicle as not many were made.

Price: $16,000.00 / 91,000 Miles

Silver Body
Black and Red factory upgraded leather seats and upholstery
Power top
Power Windows
Heated seats (nice for those cool nights with the top down)
AC

3.2 M performance Engine, 240 hp/ 236 Torque “before upgrades”
0-60MPH 5.1 sec. stock “before upgrades”
After upgrades car has 262 hp and /257 Torque and is noticeably quicker.

Over $10,000 in Upgrades:
Stereo: Alpine CD/ MP3/ XM Satellite ready stereo, MB Quart Speakers,
PCX 5800 watt amp and 6” custom subwoofer box built for this car.
Engine: Dinan cold Air intake and performance software/Chip upgrade
Suspension: Adjustable front and rear Sway-bars plus front strut stabilizer brace
* I have also kept all factory parts.

Over $4,000 in recent repairs:
Rims newly reconditioned, they look brand new; six months ago
New convertible top four months ago
These seat rails were notorious for wearing out, so I had this fixed
Miscellaneous update repairs

The not so good:
• The car is hard to shift when it gets warm, this is due to some sticking spring next to the forth gear in the transmission and was quoted $1,200 to repair; common problem with these transmissions.
• Rear bumper was repainted and looks bad as it was done by a repair on the spot person; lesson learned.
• Chips in the paint on front spoiler.

Well maintained, this car is a fun little rocket that handles like a slot car after upgrades. I am dreading the day it sells! Unfortunately, it’s time to sell as I should really put the money into the kid’s college fund. This car was my baby and that is how I treated it!

I know this is not in mint condition as it is an older car and has some outstanding fixes but my price reflects these items. I am not flexible on the price and the German made M models are really starting to go up in price, so I am ok waiting for the right buyer or just keeping it.

Call Mike with any questions (serious buyers only) Note picture are not current yet but can send current ones on demand.

You simply cannot appreciate the beauty of this car unless you have driven an actual M Roadster

I like the color combo and it has had some recent maintenance including a new soft top. It also has a Dinan intake and Racing Dynamics strut bar. The price seems ok.
