Seller Description

This 2000 BMW M Roadster was modified by Dinan of Mountain View, California in May of 2000, with work including installation of a Vortech supercharger along with Dinan’s exhaust system, S3 suspension package, an upper strut brace, and carbon-fiber engine bay trim. The car is finished in Imola Red II over two-tone Imola Red and black Nappa leather and powered by a 3.2-liter S52 inline-six paired with a replacement five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Standard equipment includes air conditioning, cruise control, 17″ “Roadstar” wheels, heated sport seats, and a Harman Kardon sound system. This M Roadster has under 66k miles and is now offered by the selling dealer in New York with its window sticker, service and modification records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Massachusetts title.

The body is finished in Imola Red II (405) and paired with a replacement black soft top, and equipment includes front fender vents, black roll hoops, and dual exhaust outlets. The selling dealer states the convertible top needs to be operated manually, the front bumper was repainted to address scrapes, and reports evidence of the hood being refinished prior to their acquisition.

Staggered-width 17″ “Roadstar” wheels are mounted with Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 tires, which measure 225/45 up front and 255/40 out back and show date codes from 2021 and 2020, respectively. Work performed by Dinan in May 2000 included installation of their Stage 3 suspension system with Koni dampers as well as revised springs, sway bars, and camber plates.

The heated sport seats are trimmed in two-tone Imola Red and black Nappa leather, and color-coordinated trim extends to the dashboard, console, and door panels. Amenities include air conditioning, cruise control, Dinan-branded floor mats, power accessories, and a CD stereo hooked to a Harman Kardon audio system.

The M-branded steering wheel features tri-color stitching and red accents, and it frames a 160-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges, while an analog clock and readouts for battery voltage and oil temperature are located beneath the climate controls in the center stack. The digital odometer indicates just under 66k miles, approximately 400 of which were added by the selling dealer since August 2021.

The 3.2-liter S52 inline-six was modified by Dinan with a Vortech supercharger, a software chip, an upgraded drive pulley assembly, carbon-fiber valve and fuel rail covers, and an upgraded radiator, fan, and fan clutch. A brushed aluminum strut tower brace was also installed by Dinan, and the oil was most recently changed in August 2021.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential, and records indicate the transmission, clutch components, and clutch slave and master cylinders were replaced in July 2019. A Dinan free-flow exhaust system is fitted, and additional underside images are provided in the gallery below.

The Dinan stickers affixed in the engine bay are shown above.

The window sticker, modification literature, and service records from Dinan are included in the sale.

The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists registration, service, and inspection history in New Hampshire and Massachusetts.

The Dinan supercharger is obviously the highlight here as well as the rare carbon valve cover which looks really cool. This one originally had a red roof but was replaced with black. It looks to be in nice shape overall. Bidding up to $15,777.00 so far.
