Intro
This is a 2001 Z3 M Roadster in Alpine white with black and gray interior. It is a 3-owner car originally registered in Colorado and currently in California. It is powered by a 3.2-liter S54 inline-six paired with a five-speed manual transmission. It has heated seats, cruise control, air conditioning, and a CD stereo hooked to a Harman Kardon sound system. Performance modifications include TC Kline suspension with sway bars and double adjustable coil-overs, Billy Boat exhaust and Randy Forbes subframe reinforcement kit. Carfax shows no issues. Exterior
The exterior paint on this Z3 roadster is Alpine white with a soft black convertible top (new rear window) and convertible boot cover. The M version has a wider rear track, larger brakes, aerodynamic power adjustable and heated wing-mirrors, redesigned front, and rear bumpers, bespoke "Roadstar" Style 40 wheels, revised side gills, and quad exhaust pipes. In August of 2020 the seller purchased new Michelin Pilot Sport 4S with approximately 2000 miles on them. Modifications include TC Kline suspension with double adjustable coil-overs, Billy Boat exhaust, Xenon headlight upgrade and a Randy Forbes subframe reinforcement kit.
Seller notes that in 2009 a friend slid the M car into a curb. It was repaired by Amato’s Auto Body, San Diego, California. A copy of the invoice for $8,608. is included in the photos.
Interior
The Z3 M-styled seats are black and gray leather with chrome accents on the gauges and shift boot. The M interior is also differentiated by the thermometer, clock, and oil temperature gauges in the center console. It has a 5-speed manual transmission, and power adjustable and heated front seats and mesh wind deflector between the front seats. Mechanicals
This 2001 Z3 M Roadster introduced the 3.2-liter S54 double VANOS inline six-cylinder engine with 315 hp and limited slip differential. In 2012, at approximately 35k miles the seller noted a clicking sound from the engine. Marco Polo an independent BMW repair shop in La Jolla, California replaced the rod bearings with VAC Motorsports high performance coated bearing set and high-volume oil pump and the crankshaft. The invoice of $7,405 to complete this work are included in the photos. This Z3 M also had the recent clutch replaced and is current on all maintenance. Seller has service records from his ownership.

Summary
