1998 BMW M Roadster, 101K miles, excellent condition
I've decided to pass the M Roadster on to another deserving owner. It's been really fun, but I'm ready to move onto another project.
As you can see from the pics, the interior and exterior of the car are in really great shape. Mechanically this car is in excellent condition as well. The S52 is smooth and easy revving and really sings through the Supersprint exhaust. The 5-speed manual and clutch work just as they should, A/C works great, power top (blue) goes up and down, etc. The suspension has just been redone with stock M springs, Bilstein shocks/struts and new strut tops, so the car drives and handles like a dream. My shop inspected the trunk for diff mount issues and found none, and there are no engine codes or anything like that. The has has a high end alpine radio with phone integration that sounds quite good. This car is not perfect, but it is a wonderful example of BMW's hot rod roadster.
Things to mention since this is an internet ad: The 2 little guides that hold the seatbelts at the top of the seat backs are missing. Has a nice driver's side floor mat but no passenger side mat. Electric passenger seat moves slowly. Rear window is nice, flexible and clear, but has some marring especialy at the fold. The hood, though beautiful and shiny, has a few spots where the paint prep was not done propperly, and if you look carefully you can see them. A couple small scratches and some stone nicks, but overall very nice.
Good things worth mentioning: Brand new glass mat battery and Bosch starter. Brand new Bilstein B6 shocks and struts, new strut tops, stock M springs. No rips or tears in the seats or carpet, dash is perfect, top is in very good condition. Seat shims done. 18" Apex wheels in excellent condition, 10 1/2" in the rear, 9" front, Continental Extreme Contact tires, 275/35 ZR18, 235/40 ZR18. No leaks or issues, oil changed last week.
Car is gorgeous, clean and ready to go, located in Chattanooga. Send me a message, but please do not ask if its still available, the answer is yes.
