This 1998 BMW M Roadster is one of 1,719 examples finished in Estoril Blue over Estoril Blue and black Nappa leather for the North American market for the model year. It has 18k miles following registration history in Utah, and work since the seller’s purchase in May 2024 reportedly included repairing the glove box as well as replacing the seat bushings and the center console. Power is supplied by a 3.2-liter S52 inline-six paired with a five-speed manual transmission, and equipment includes silver-finished 17″ Style 40 wheels, a limited-slip differential, a blue convertible soft top, heated sport seats, a Harman Kardon sound system, air conditioning, and cruise control. This M Roadster is now offered with the owner’s manual, a car cover, a cabin cover, tools, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Utah title in the seller’s name.

The body is finished in Estoril Blue, and features include a power-operated blue convertible soft top, front fender vents, and quad exhaust outlets. Dents were removed from the body in preparation for the sale.

The 3.2-liter S52B32 inline-six features VANOS variable valve timing and was factory rated at 240 horsepower and 236 lb-ft of torque. Work in July 2011 is said to have included a coolant change and replacing the thermostat, thermostat housing, and coolant temperature switch. The battery was replaced in June 2023.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a ZF five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The seller notes that the trunk welds/differential mounts have not been addressed. The transmission and differential fluids were replaced in 2019.
