Seller Description

1999 M Roadster in excellent condition with hard to find (OEM) hard top. Second owner and I've only put about 300 miles on it. The car has been in the San Francisco Bay Area since purchase and always garaged. It runs like a dream, sounds amazing and has no mechanical issues with regular maintenance performed as needed. The tires are new with less the 200 miles on them and are Bridgestone S-04 Pole positions in the front and Kumho Ectsa PS31's in the rear (both are almost identical in rating but the Kumho's are a bit more comfortable). Please note the hard top is not fixed so it's a bit noisy but it still feels like your driving a convertible and obviously makes the car much more aerodynamic. Unfortunatewe are moving and will not have a garage anymore.

Hagerty just named this as one of their 2020 Bull Market cars and historically demand for those so named pick up quickly.

Condition:
Excellent overall with no accidents. There are touch-ups however on the hood and hard top and side mirror due to rock chips. The prior owner had clear bra on air/dam fender which is why there is only one touch up spot. There is one pin head size ding on the front right fender (about a quarter inch) but no paint damage to the spot. The only non-mechanical issue is the glove box which works perfectly but has a slight sag, but this a known issue and easily fixed ($200-$400). All stock expect for the shift knob is the BMW Performance knob but the original knob is included in the auction and pops right in if you want to change it but the Performance knob is much better. Also the previous owner did upgrade the shocks with performance shocks so the car does handle better. The interior looks great but the leather is a bit firm with some minor wear. Please note my photos have the sun reflected on the interior winch looks like the car is beige but it's jet black with no real fading. If you need more photos please ask.

Accessories:
Manuals, price sticker, 3 keys, the hard top stand and cover, original shift knob, wind screen and BMW sun screen.

Shipping: Buyer to arrange all shipping
Please note the hood stand cannot be placed in the car unless dissembled or unless buyer makes other arrangements for shipping.

Inspection: Pre-purchase inspections can be arranged for out of town buyers hiring an inspection company and local inspections can also be arranged but only at the seller's discretion as I cannot guarantee the time to show the car to all buyers. Please do not bid if first and ask for an inspection after.

Final sale: vehicle is sold AS-IS. $500 deposit within 48 hours and full payment within 7 days required. Cashier's check or money order, no personal checks.  Once money order is received AND cleared, title will be sent OVERNIGHT with the buyer's signature required unless buyer does local pick-up. ID required for local pick-up. Vehicle must be picked-up within 48 hours after full payment. Plates/tags will be removed once sale is completed.
Mileage may change slightly due to inspections so please ask to verify if any changes at final sale.

I may sell the car locally but if there is a bid on Ebay the auction will not be cancelled!

The hard top is the highlight, and it sounds like it's been well taken care of. The price seems alright with the hard top.
