This 2001 BMW M Roadster was sold on BaT in November 2016 before it was acquired by the seller on BaT in November 2020. Subsequent work included reinforcing the subframe, rebuilding the VANOS system, refinishing the wheels, and replacing the soft top, tires, and rod bearings. Finished in Titanium Silver Metallic over black Nappa leather, the car has 17″ Style 40 wheels, extended wheel studs, a Dinan front strut tower brace, Koni shocks, H&R springs, and Supersprint mufflers. Other features include a CD stereo, a Harman Kardon sound system, a flat-bottom steering wheel, and heated sport seats. Power is provided by a 3.2-liter S54 inline-six linked with a five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. This M Roadster has 27k miles and is offered with a window sticker, an owner’s manual, service records, spare and removed parts, a car cover, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Texas title in the seller’s name.

The car is finished in Titanium Silver Metallic and has a power-operated black convertible soft top that is said to have been replaced in preparation for the sale. Other exterior features include front fender vents, power-adjustable side mirrors, and quad exhaust outlets. Paint protection film was applied to the front of the car and LED headlight bulbs and replacement BMW roundels were added under current ownership. The 17″ Style 40 wheels are wrapped in 245/40 front and 225/45 rear Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires that were mounted under current ownership. The car is equipped with Dynamic Stability Control, All-Season Traction (AST), a Dinan front strut tower brace, and four-wheel ventilated disc brakes. The seller notes that Koni Yellow shocks, H&R springs, and polyurethane subframe bushings were installed under current ownership along with a trailing arm camber/toe adjustment kit, wheel spacers, and extended wheel studs. Additional work included refinishing the wheels and replacing the ABS pump assembly, power steering reservoir, and several suspension components itemized in invoices shown in the gallery.

Black Nappa leather covers the heated sport seats, door panel inserts, and center console. Features include roll hoops, air conditioning, cruise control, a CD stereo, and a Harman Kardon sound system.

A flat-bottom steering wheel frames a tachometer with an 8k-rpm redline, a 170-mph speedometer, and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 27k miles, approximately 5k of which were added under current ownership. The removed steering wheel is included in the sale.

The 3.2-liter S54B32 inline-six features double-VANOS variable valve timing and a Siemens MSS 54 engine management control system. Output was factory rated at 315 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. Work under current ownership included replacing the rod bearings along with the fuel pump, camshaft position sensor, serpentine belt, oil constant pressure valve, and valve cover gaskets. The VANOS system was upgraded in 2022 with a Beisan anti-rattle kit, upper chain guide, billet exhaust drive hub, and oil pump drive rotor.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a ZF five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. A Randy Forbes subframe reinforcement kit was installed in 2022 along with an E36 differential cover. Supersprint mufflers are fitted.

The window sticker lists initial delivery to Camp BMW of Spokane, Washington, along with factory colors, equipment, options, and a total suggested retail price of $46,835.
