I'm relisting this car because the bidder who won initially failed to pay. We acquired this car in a trade for our motorhome. It was my wife's idea. She said, "do you know how good I would look in that car?" And she did look good, except for the horrified expression on her face when she first let out the clutch. Now she's afraid to drive it. I, on the other hand, took to it like a duck to water. So much so, in fact, that I was presented with my first speeding ticket in more than 40 years. I'm 70 years old and I live in a small town. A bright yellow convertible with numbers on it that goes like a scalded cat is about the last thing I need. So - some info: The engine and transmission (five-speed manual) seem very strong. It says "M Power" on the valve cover and I'm told that's significant. The exterior and interior are also in very good shape. The decals, incidentally, are vinyl and can apparently be easily removed with either a solvent made for that purpose or something called a "whizzy wheel". The tires are relatively new and the exhaust is manufactured by Dinan. There are, of course, going to be foibles and faults on a car - especially a sports car - of this vintage. The yellow paint on the wheel rims is flaking. There's a tear on the bottom of the driver's side backrest. The clock doesn't work, and I can't get the heater/AC fan to work. The windows are a tad capricious, but they do go up and down. There are probably more things about this car both exhilarating and frustrating but I just haven't had it long enough to find out. I've tried to price it reasonably, so good luck and thanks for looking.
