M Roadsters of 01 and 02 are equipped with the same S54 motor as in the E46 M3; unlike the 98-99 model years that have the US-only S52 motor that was far inferior to the Euro-spec motors. 01-02 models have the same motor as those in Europe. As such, this Roadster with the S54
motor is super rare (only 1,565 ever made for North America), of which, this color combo makes it ultra rare with only a few hundred built in this color combo. Laguna Seca Blue is exclusive for M cars. Furthermore, as it’s VIN suggests, this is the 16th M Roadster with the S54 motor ever made! Originally, this M was shipped throughout North America for press and promotional purposes in the first year of its existence, this is documented in the CarFax.

This VIN matching car has a clean title, has low miles at 100,0xx miles and is completely up to date in service and preventive maintenance that includes a complete fluids exchange, seals replacement and fixes of some common gremlins that plague these roadsters. Recent services exceed $4,000 from a reputable shop completed less than 6months ago.

This Z3M is in incredible condition with no dents on the exterior and no rips or tears on the interior. Everything works and drives flawlessly. It had a BMW OEM hardtop since new, therefore, the convertible top is in mint condition; the top was conditioned and lubed once a year and always had a rear window protector/cover on.
