We are offering a rare find, this 2000 BMW M Roadster was just traded in by an older gentleman, and is in near mint condition. The car just had new tires installed, and cosmetically very clean. There is some slight wear the the drivers seat bolsters, but the top is in good condition and the owner had a clear 3M bra installed so the hood and front are free from rock chips. The car also has OEM carpet and all weather mats. The optional equipment on this car is a power top, and power heated seats. Below you will find the specs on the M roaster, for those that are unfamiliar with these M series Z3's.
North American-spec M roadsters utilize the 240-hp (SAE) S52 engine, as found in the North American iteration of the E36 M3. With a ZF Type C five-speed manual gearboxes, but the North American version is the only one fitted with BMW’s ASC+T traction control system (as of 9/98 production) until the facelift. The final drive is either 3.23:1 (S52) or 3.15:1 (S50 and S54). A limited slip differential with a maximum locking of 25 percent is standard.
In addition to the larger displacement, the S52 utilizes the following special M components:
Ported and polished cylinder head
Retuned VANOS variable valve timing for greater high-rpm power
Heavy-duty valve springs
More finely balanced camshafts
Valve lifters, springs and spring seats with reduced mass
Free-flowing intake and exhaust systems
