Second owner. 124,000 miles, silver on black and gray. Very good condition for its age, with typical bolster wear, seat scratches, some paint chips and one door ding. No rear carrier issues. Always garaged; it has been washed, clayed and waxed regularly. We bought this in 2004 in WA, and it was my wife's daily driver, a.k.a. "adult driven". Since we retired and moved here five years ago, we hardly drive it at all - maybe three times a month on average, over to the ocean and back. We're moving and won't have room for all our vehicles.
We have all the service records, and I can send an Excel file of the maintenance if you email me. I've done much of the maintenance over the last 8 years as a hobby, following the Mike Miller old-school maintenance schedule pretty closely. When some special expertise or tools are needed, I use the best local indies. Here, that has been North Bay Bavarian. We use OEM parts, but put on Bilsteins, Powerflex purple bushings, LeatherZ console, and Cool Carbon brake pads (way less dust). There is an aftermarket catalytic converter as there were no factory replacements available when we needed one. (When they are available, they are very expensive.) We get Blackstone lab reports from time to time, and the S52 engine is healthy. Hex floor mats and aftermarket head unit with upgraded speakers and amp. The original top is still fine, with a newer BMW rear window.
The car is a dream to drive, with tight, direct steering, beautiful balance, and wonderful exhaust notes. The tires are great.
Included in the price is a ceiling hoist for stowing the hardtop, a tonneau cover, wind screen and rear window blanket, a noah car cover, the original harmon kardon subwoofer/enclosure, and some small spare parts and fluids.
