Seller Description

Fully sorted mechanically and cosmetically, I have spent 15k restoring this car in the year I have owned it. Interior, including driver seat, is flawless - this is very rare. Premium sound system with bluetooth, 5k+ spent to have killer sound with top down. Everything else stock, this is one of the cleanest roadsters you will find on the market. All service records during my ownership included, I am the 2nd owner. PPIs welcome.

This 2002 BMW M Roadster is finished in Estoril Blue Metallic over black Nappa leather and powered by a 3.2-liter S54 inline-six paired with a five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Equipment includes a power-operated black soft top, 17″ Roadstar wheels, air conditioning, heated sport seats, and an aftermarket Alpine CD stereo with auxiliary inputs. The car has been registered in California since new and was acquired by the seller in February 2021. Subsequent work is said to have included replacement of the soft top, steering wheel, shifter lever, and center console along with some switchgear. This M Roadster has 61k miles and is now offered with a Carfax report and a clean California title in the seller’s name.

The car is finished in Estoril Blue Metallic (335) with a power-retractable black soft top that was reportedly replaced under current ownership. Additional details include M-logo fender vents, roll hoops, and quad exhaust outlets. “Minor” damage to the front of the car is noted on the Carfax report in a September 2008 entry. Paint chips on the front lower spoiler are shown in the gallery below.

Staggered-width 17″ Style 40 “Roadstar” wheels are mounted with 225/45 front and 245/40 rear Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 tires.

The cabin features heated sport seats trimmed in black Nappa leather along with matching door panels and carpets. Amenities include air conditioning, cruise control, a rear wind deflector, and an aftermarket Alpine CD stereo with USB and auxiliary inputs. The center console and shifter lever have reportedly been replaced along with the buttons for the air conditioning and seat heaters.

The replacement M-branded steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. An analog clock and gauges for voltage and oil temperature are mounted within the center stack. The digital odometer indicates 61k miles, approximately 2,500 of which were added by the seller.

The S54 inline-six features features two-stage VANOS variable valve timing and was factory rated at 315 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque when new. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential.

The Carfax report shows history in California and the aforementioned damage.
