Seller Description

Stock, except for upgraded stereo with USB interface and tinted windows. The paint is in very good condition and the wheels/rims are in mint condition. The leather interior and dash is great except for a small amount of wear on the driver seat bolster. Black convertible top works perfect and is in very good condition.

M RoadStar alloy wheels 225/45ZR-17 fronts and 245/40ZR-17 rears
Michelin Pilot Sport tires (< 10,000 miles)

All scheduled maintenance with records available. Only two owners (CarFax shows 3 due to lease/purchase). All service at dealer or authorized BMW repair specialist. Always garaged.

There is some damage to the underside of the front bumper from running the car onto parking block. If look closely at some of the pictures on autotrader and photobucket, you might be able to see it. I've had a body shop give me an estimate of ~$800 to remove it. repair it completely, and then re-spray it to match the existing paint. I decided to go ahead and list it without the repair, and I adjusted the sales price as such.

Also, he engine is not the original engine. If you've done any research on the M Roadster and the S54 engine, then you know about the connecting rod bearing issues. Unfortunately for me, at ~52,000 miles I started to having engine knocking due to the bearings failing. Long story short, I had a local BMW specialist source and replace the engine. The replacement engine is from a 2002 M3 (with repaired/recalled bearings), and had an additional 13k miles. I have had zero issue since the repair, and in fact I think the engine runs and sounds better than before. Again, I have all the service records.

PM me and I'd be happy to answer question and send a link to additional photos. Seller requires cash or Paypal deposit and certified check for payment.

Posted on Bimmerforums with a more detailed description. The engine was replaced due to the rod bearings fairly recently.

Looks very nice and seems to be well cared for. Having all the service records is a big plus. I think the price is fair.
