The negatives - Brakes squeal but do not need replacement – just needs anti-squeal compound and I don’t feel like pulling the brakes off to apply it. Paint has various blemishes from previous owner. Soft top motor needs hydraulic fluid added. Had very slight front left bumper damage some years ago by PO, completely fixed. Typical plastic interior part cracks here and there.
Car was worked on by Korman (Winston-Salem, NC), BMW Performance Center (Raleigh, NC) and Fall-Line Motorsports (Buffalo Grove, IL). Car is garaged in climate controlled storage facility and driven occasionally on weekends. Never driven in salt or winter weather. Car has been seen by several forum members in both NC and IL.
Why am I selling it? Since moving to Illinois, I’m driving the car about once a month for Cars and Coffee events and I will be paying almost $3K a year to the storage facility. With only 7 months out of the year available for salt-free driving, that’s a lot of money for such little usage. Highly prefer that it go to another enthusiast rather than someone who won't appreciate the attention and money spent on the little beast.
