Seller Description

//M Roadster, factory hardtop, all options, 1998, VG to excellent.
If you want a Z3 with a total infusion of //M Power, that has been respectfully driven and hasn't been hacked and butchered full of overpriced aftermarket parts and modifications, then my M Roadster is exactly the car for you.

The //M Roaster is an irresistibly, some say erotically, styled BMW M Powered and redressed chic magnet for either gender. Whether you're looking for a new significant other or to better secure your position with your current main squeeze, the MRoadster delivers its high performance with road manners so civilized that you wont hesitate offering them the sensually curved black leather driver seat to zip you around instead.

Wasn't sure what I was going to do with it, now the GF's wuzband's underhanded divorce lawyer is making a stink that his less than 12 year old has to ride in the front seat when one of us picks her up from camp or school, but Commiefornia's motor vehicle laws don't allow that, and the M version of the Z didn't come with a passenger airbag off switch. I'm not going to hack the car to put one in, so I'm going to keep my '97//M3 and sell the this luscious MZ before I do something dumb like choose to keep it over picking up the kids when the gf can't.

Not that you're supposed to buy the story, you're supposed to buy the car.

So, here is a 1998 //MZ3 Roadster, true and proper glowing German metallic silver with black on black Z "Vader" leather seats and interior, with factory hardtop for the "space capsule" driving experience and exotic supercar look on the road, in very good to excellent condition. It has all original options including HK stereo, 6 CD changer, factory optional chromed wheels, unique M Roadster rear wing, even the optional locking gas cap, Bilstein struts and shocks, 95 M3 strut hats (better steering geometry), new max high performance and very long lasting Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires. Original BMW car cover too. The two known problem areas, the radiator and the electric seat roller bushings, have already been replaced. Overall this car's performance gives a better eehah and yaya around street corners than even my heavily mod'ed M3 sedan. The factory crankshaft position sensor and engine computer recall has already been done, too. This car is all straight and original. _No hacked up engine mods or aftermarket parts at all, totally stock for 165k well loved and garage kept miles.  Also have a second set of excellent refinished with factory original silver M Roadstar wheels, if the chromed glitz isn't your style.

BMW made the MZ3's motor more powerful than than M3 sedan in several ways. The MZ motor breathes through the MZ exclusive fresh air intake from the brake duct straight to the airbox, and a straight through intake air boot instead of the restrictive traction control throttle that other M cars got.  Also, you'll quickly notice the sweet looking and more freer flowing quad chrome tipped dual exhaust than other M cars got.  Noticeably better throttle response than the regular M, both off the line and at speed with extra intake whoosh from the fresh air duct on the highway.
I've cleaned the MAF sensor filaments, use better performing NGK BKR6EQUP spark plugs, removed the restrictor and screens from the air intake, switched to a K&N air filter, previous owner and I both use Mobil1 5w30 motor oil and Redline gear oils exclusively.
The front end is all tight and has a good street alignment, with extremely quick steering response, yet is well mannered and pleasingly self centering on the highway. Brakes are firm and stop extremely well without triggering the anti-lock.
Clean title and all paperwork in order, so you won't have to worry about and DMV snags.
The hardtop alone cost at least $2500 when the car was new.

I'm advertising this for $15,800, or best offer. That is on par with other MZ3 I see posted, but that don't have the hardtop and aren't as fully optioned and well kept as this one.
Will also consider partial trade of a nice running 318ti, 318i 4 door, or 4 cylinder Z3 that has the factory passenger airbag switch, 5 speed only.
As usual, cash talks and bs walks. If the ad is posted then the car is still for sale.

This was just recently for sale for just $9,950 which was a much more fair price. This seller is using the same photos.
