1999 BMW M Roadster has approximately 28,700 miles and is finished in Estoril Blue Metallic over two-tone black and blue leather interior and is equipped with a black convertible power top. Powered by the BMW S52 3.2-liter inline-six factory rated at 240HP paired with a five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. 17″ Roadstar wheels, BMW Business Radio/CD sound system, heated/power seats, and air conditioning. The car was first registered in Arizona and spent time in Nevada and then Ohio where I purchased the car in 2019 with about 21,500 miles on it. I drove it home (550 miles) from Ohio to Long Island.
BMW of Akron Ohio performed a detailed pre-purchase inspection (PPI) before I purchased the car. The only thing identified during the PPI was a “witness mark” of power steering fluid residue on the power steering line. I had that power steering line replaced. The rear subframe spotwelds and differential “ears” were also inspected during the PPI, and they are perfect (those who know, know).
The car was modified in 2003 at a BMW dealership with DINAN Stage 4 performance software, high flow cold air intake, high flow throttle body and high flow air flow meter bringing it to an estimated 270HP. It wears DINAN certified badging on the trunk lid.
- Service in June 2020 included an oil change (Liqui Moly) and filter change.
- Service in February 2021 included a soft goods refresh. Four (4) new Dunlop Direzza Extreme performance tires, OEM driveshaft flex disk, OEM differential mount, Powerflex polyurethane subframe bushings, OEM transmission mount, OEM exhaust hangers and A/C recharge. The transmission fluid, rear differential fluid (Liqui Moly) and the DINAN cold air intake filter were replaced at that time.
- Service in April 2022 included an oil change (Liqui Moly) and filter change.
- Service in August of 2022 included installation of the glove compartment “Sag Kit”, and the seat belt guides were replaced (those who know, know).
- Service in April 2024 included an oil change (Liqui Moly) and filter change.
The Roadster comes with two keys, original BMW car cover, tonneau cover, California pop top, rear window protector, black and blue Coco mats (original M mats still retained plus a spare set), original window sticker, manufacturer’s literature, clean Carfax report, and a clean New York State title.
These are limited production cars, and they are becoming increasingly difficult to find with this low mileage and in this condition. As its caretaker, I’ve maintained this Roadster with deep appreciation for what it deserves. The car has not seen rain once while it has been in my possession. It’s one of the nicest M Roadsters you will find anywhere.
The right rear wheel shows curb rash. My fault, I did it!
I am happy to take the car (locally) to the business of your choice for a PPI to be paid for by the potential buyer.
