Up for sale is my 2000 BMW M Roadster, a fun and interesting car which I don't feel like fixing anymore. There are a number of issues that need addressing. I will list them:
-
Needs new struts on all four corners.
-
Needs new tie rods and control arm bushings on front left and right.
-
Slow oil leak, needs new valve cover gasket.
-
Check engine light has been on since purchase 3 years ago. Likely needs new catalytic converter.
-
Clutch pedal must be depressed all the way to floor to engage. Likely replace of clutch slave cylinder.
-
Getting shifter into gear requires more force than it should, and shifter does not always re-center in neutral. Transmission shift pin/sleeve service + replacement.
-
AC and vents stopped working two days ago. Fuses burned in their sockets.
-
Speakers do not emit sound
-
Convertible top motor inoperable
-
Convertible top rear window separated from top, needs repair or replacement
-
Drivers side exterior door handle does not open door.
-
Front driver's seat slides forward/back on rails about an inch during hard stops
-
Left front turn indicator burnt
-
Radio antenna body o-ring missing
-
Headlight plastic body supports cracking in engine bay
-
Engine bay clutch fan/belt tensioner pulley noisy
-
Rear tires will need replacing soonish
-
Rock chips and paint damage to front lower lip
-
Seatbelt guides on seatbacks cracked
-
License plate body panel loose on top right corner. Duct tape is an option.
-
Speedo/Tach gauge cluster hood and gauge cluster loose, their plastic dash support tabs cracked
-
Driver seat outside bolsters leather is worn
-
Glove box requires force to be latched closed
Other than that it's in fine and dandy shape. It even turns on and drives faster than a Miata and everything.
