Seller Description

I am selling my 1998 BMW Z3 M Roadster, I truly enjoyed this car for 2 years as a weekend fun car, but since I started a new project I need the money and garage space. This car is fun and eye-catching 2-seater in a very sparkling blue paint, not to mention fast little open sports car (and not for the shy people, you guaranteed to get noticed in it :)

- 3.2L 240hp in line BMW Motorsport motor (S52)
- 5-speed manual
- Estoril blue (only about 1500 cars was made that year with this color)
- 89.9xx miles
- Dark blue canvas top, electric (and it works)
- Sports bucket seats fully electric (also works)

The cat just passed SMOG two weeks ago.

I spent over $6000 keeping the car in excellent running condition over the 2 years, (receipts is available) and with only 3000 miles or so that I put on it, its still very fresh and handles great. To be a 14 year old car you might expect several issues but in this car everything works, the seats, windows (right side electric motor needs an overhaul), some few dings in the paint but its barely visible, paint is really shiny. Rims are in great condition with minimal scratches. Tires are all in the 50-60% wear range and the rear tires are run-flats. I also put inn a cat-back custom Magnaflow (14815) exhaust that gives this car the sporty sound it should have had from the factory, work was done by San Pedro Muffler.

I did all my repairs at Benz & Beemers in Lomita, Steve who works there knows this car well.
Some big repairs done :
- New brakes, rotors/pads and brake booster
- New belts ; serpentine and alternator
- Shift lever bushing
- Ignition coils
- Rear upper shock mounts
- Etc. . ..
Before I got the car, this car was in a right side accident, and after the rebuild (incl paint job), it got a salvage title. I managed to get hold of pictures from the damages and clearly its only the passenger side that got hit, no structural damage. it was rebuilt completely, its straight as an arrow (see pictures), and the mechanics that worked on this car has said it should be possible to get the salvage cleared with DMV. I haven't bothered with it as my intention was to keep it for a long time.

Asking $8900 for the car, cash no trades. I can show the car in Palos Verdes/San Pedro/Torrance-area.

Back on the market after almost a year off. $10,000 more miles. Price is up to $8,900 from $6,900. It sounds like it's had quite a bit of maintenance done in that time though.

Big price reduction for $7,900 from $10,900 which seems pretty good even with the title

This roadster sold really cheap about a year ago. The new owner has done a ton of great maintenance and is up front with the title status. I think the price is fair for a well-documented, well-sorted roadster.
