Seller Description

This 1998 BMW M Roadster is finished in Estoril Blue over a two-tone Estoril Blue and Black Nappa leather interior and shows 44,800 miles. The selling dealer notes that it remains unmodified apart from the installation of an aftermarket air intake. The 3.2L S52 inline-six is paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox, while the rear subframe has been inspected and is said to be in good shape. The car recently received a comprehensive service from the seller that included a new clutch disc and pressure plate, new front rotors and pads, new driveshaft coupler, and a full fluid flush. It is sold with a clean Carfax and clear Ohio title.

The Estoril Blue metallic exterior paint is thought to be original, with selling dealer measuring thickness at a low of 3.3 mil and a high of 6.3 mil. It shines nicely, with no major dents or dings noted, though a few scratches and some rock chips are detailed in the gallery. There is no evidence of accidents or bodywork, with panels appearing straight and maintaining their factory stickers.

The 17″ five-spoke Roadstar wheels appear in good condition with no damage noted. The seller has outfitted the car with new Michelin Pilot Super Sports in standard staggered-width sizing.

The two-tone interior looks to be in good condition. The seats are said to remain in place under braking and acceleration, and they show well for their age with some minor marking and cracking. There are some light nicks on the door panels as well as a small crack above the A/C button. The glovebox appears to sag slightly, but the dash looks clean otherwise.

Chrome-ringed instrument cluster, gauges, and shift boot appear bright, and all electrics are said to function as they should. The factory cassette radio works properly, though its volume control knob is worn, and the air-conditioning is said to blow cold.

The soft top fits snugly and the rear window looks absent of fading or scratches.

The 3.2L S52 inline-six is paired to a 5-speed manual transmission and is unmodified apart from the aftermarket air intake installed by a previous owner, though the stock airbox is included in the sale. When new, the engine was rated at 240 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 236 lb. ft. of torque at 3,800 rpm.

The underside appears clean and stock, with standard dual exhaust system in place. The subframe is said to have been inspected and remains in good condition.

Limited service records are available, but some maintenance has been recorded via the attached Carfax, which shows no indications of accidents, thefts, or title issues. The original manual and spare keys are included in sale.

Back on the market once again with only a few more miles and finally some photos. It's on Bring a Trailer so bid away.

Back on the market after about a year off. same mileage but price reduced to $17,800 from $19,800 which is better.

No photos, but based on the description I'd guess it's pretty nice. The price is probably a little optimistic for the color combo and mileage.
