Seller Description

Up for auction is my fun and fast BMW M Roadster. It is modified for autocross and track days, but is also a great street car! I bought it through eBay in 2006 and drove it up to Illinois from North Carolina. North Carolina has a great climate for cars, they have mild winters and don't use salt on the roads so when I got the car it was absolutely spotless.

Since then it has spent winters in the garage and still has never seen salt, as you can see by the pictures. In the summer I used the car mainly for sunny weekend drives and the occasional autocross. On autocross days I would pull a small trailer with a set of racing wheels and tires and some tools which is why it has a trailer hitch. There are some scratches and dings mostly on the front bumper which I tried to show but for the mileage it looks fantastic. There is one accident report from before I had it but whatever the "right rear impact with an animal" was obviously got repaired correctly and there is no sign of it. I have always kept it very well maintained, changing fluids and parts whenever the car needed them. The only thing I would recommend is a new set of tires in the next few thousand miles, otherwise it's completely worry free. Don't hesitate to ask any questions you may have, also I have more pictures of the car so if you would like to see those give me your e-mail and I'll send them to you. Good luck bidding!

My Comments

Sold 4/15/12 - Someone stole it for a high offer of just $9,250. Great buy!

4/12/12 Update - Buy-it-now dropped to just $11,000 down from $13,000 which I think is a great deal.

4/9/12 Update - Auction ended with a high bid of $9,000

3/29/12 Update - Ebay auction ended with a high bid of just $8,600

3/23/12 Update - Relisted on Ebay again at $8,000 and an unknown reserve

3/6/12 Update - Relisted on Ebay with all new photos. The price has also been reduced to $13,000 from $14,999. I think it's a pretty good deal now.

3/4/12 Update - Auction ended with a high bid of $13,100 which I bet was pretty close to the reserve.

2/26/12 Update - Now on Ebay with an unknown reserve and a starting price of $9,999

2/2/12 Update - Relisted on Ebay and added a bunch of new photos. The interior looks amazing for the mileage.

1/18/12 Update - Relisted on Ebay still at $14,999

1/13/12 Update - On Ebay with a buy-it-now of $15,499. AutoCheck report shows an accident with an animal back in 2003.

This looks like a great track day roadster with it already having a few key upgrades like subframe reinforcement, race seat, roll bar, race wheels and tires, and a trailer for them. It looks like it's in pretty good shape for the mileage and seems to be well maintained. The red softtop looks great too. I think the price is fair considering all the extras.
