Seller Description

1998 BMW M Roadster with just 55K miles. The car is Cosmos Schwartz (black) over black and gray leather. The M Roadster is the Z3 platform car with BMW Motorsport trim (3.2 liter inline 6 cylinder, ///M suspension, sport seats, leather covered interior bits, etc.). The car is in fantastic condition and ready to go!! I've sold 6 of these over the past few summers and this is one of the nicer ones I've had. From time to time, I purchase a car that cannot be parted out (or at least that I will not part out as a BMW enthusiast). This 1998 M Roadster is one of those cars. I did buy it from a salvage auction with a salvage title, but this should never have happened. This car appeared to have been driven off road into some bushes, etc. and was pretty scratched up. I had the paintwork done professionally by a local shop in town but the car required NO SHEETMETAL and had NO UNIBODY/FRAME REPAIRS!! I will complete the restoration paperwork and be selling this car with a "REBUILT" title from the state of Indiana. Please note that this is NOT the same as a "salvage" title. It will have already passed a police inspection and the rebuilt title is fully transferable to the new owner at any state's BMV!!

My Comments

Sold 3/27/12 - Listing was deleted, so I assume it sold.

3/16/12 Update - Priced reduced to $11,995 at the end of the auction, but no takers.

3/9/12 Update - Relisted on Ebay after a month and a half off. Still at $12,995

1/23/12 Update - No takes on Ebay

For a salvage title, it really doesn't look that bad. The interior looks great. I think the price is fair.
