This beautiful example of the BMW M roadster is one of 291 made in Dakar Yellow with black interior. Yes, it's a Z3, but it's the M version with 240 horsepower, beefed up suspension, wider wheels, and many other factory performance upgrades. This Wikipedia entry has a good description:

This car has been very reliable. Other than routine maintenance, the only repairs were to replace an oxygen sensor at 35,000 miles and, recently, the driver's door latch. This car is not a flawless "garage queen". I have driven it regularly over the 15 years that I have owned it. The paint has a few small stone chips and the wheels show some curb rubs. If you are looking for a concurs-ready car to trailer to car shows, this is not for you. But if you want to actually drive a true sports car with great handling and acceleration, it is hard to beat this for top-down fun.
