Seller Description

My wife upgraded to a Sakhir Orange M4 Convertible in October and has reluctantly decided to part with her low mileage 2000 Imola Red Z3 M Roadster she has enjoyed for the past five summers. We have meticulously maintained the car to a high standard. Blackstone Lab oil analyses were completed for most of the engine oil changes and are available for inspection. We have exclusively hand washed the car and detailed it using Griot’s Garage products. We store the car in a heated garage under a Bavarian Auto car cover (that goes with the car to the new owner) from mid-October until late April so it has never seen snow or been driven in temperatures below 45 degrees. We are non-smoker enthusiasts and would love to keep the car but it makes more sense that it not sit but should go to a new owner to enjoy it as we have. Other than routine maintenance and tires it should be ready for the next 50-100k miles. The history I have on the car shows it was originally purchased in Texas on 1/5/2000 and was passed to a second Texas owner on 12/1/2003 where it remained until it was sold at auction in 2012 and purchased by BMW Cleveland. This is where we purchased it as it was unloaded from the transporter with 44,880 miles on 5/26/2012. It has only 66,372 miles now – an average of 4,298 per year of our ownership and 3,904 per year overall. The engine oil and filter was changed at 45,081 miles and a magnetic drain plug was installed. The seat bushings were replaced as were the seat belt holders on the seats. The convertible top was cleaned and reconditioned with a treatment from Bavarian Auto to ensure water integrity. On 8/13/2012 at 48,662 miles a truck driver backed into it in traffic stopped on a street. Damage was minor and I have pictures showing the damage. The hood, kidney grilles, and headlights were replaced by a BMW Collision Center. The title remains clean. The car was stored for the 2012/13 winter on 10/5/2012 with 48802 miles. On 8/10/2013 at 51,850 miles Michelin Pilot Sport AS3 tires were mounted and a full 4-wheel alignment with weights was performed. Another engine oil and filter change was completed at 52, 219 miles and the car put away for the 2013/14 winter on 10/15/13 with 54,098 miles. While the car was stored for the 2013/14 winter the cooling system was proactively refreshed – new radiator, expansion tank and cap, Stewart water pump, thermostat, thermostat housing, new belts and idler pulleys, radiator hoses, new temperature sensors. Spark plugs were also changed. Old parts are available for inspection and will go with the car if desired. During the winter storage of 2014/15 at 56,854 miles the engine oil and filter were changed again along with a proactive suspension and brake refresh. Front struts (Bilstein), rear shocks (Bilstein) , front control arm bushings (PowerFlex), front sway bar links, Bavarian Auto braided brake lines, all four rotors with Pagid brake pads were installed. In addition the transmission fluid was changed installing BMW LT3 and the differential fluid was changed to Redline 140W. The power steering reservoir and fluid was changed using Castrol ATF. An alignment was performed in the spring after the suspension refresh. Again, all old parts are available for inspection and will go with the car if desired. On 10/11/2015 at 61,930 the engine oil and filter were changed and the car was stored for the 2015/16 winter. On 10/20/2016 at 66,366 miles the engine oil and filter were changed and the car was stored for the 2016/17 winter. A power steering line was replaced due to a leak and the fluid topped off with Castrol ATF again. Currently the tires have 3.5-5/32nds of tread. There is some discoloration on the wheels. The beading surrounding the rear window has come off but I was told by several car upholsters that there is no issue with top/window integrity.

It's definitely been well taken care of. The replaced hood is a bummer, but not really a big deal at the mileage. Overall I think the price is fair.
