It's a 1998 Black over black/grey. It has 150k miles. I picked this up as a project and put some time into it, but with my other BMWs, I don't have time to complete it or drive it enough. I don't have a service history or records that I know of, but it's mechanically solid and has a solid body.
The car is a Florida car and doesn't have rust anywhere that I am aware of. Appears to be all original body panels that are very straight.
The paint shows it's age/mileage up front, but still shines up very well. It's got the rock chips up front and could use a bumper/hood respray eventually.
The interior is in pretty great shape. But the seats are near perfect condition, amazingly. They do need new seat bushings and the "seat mod", both of which I have parts for and will include. I also have new speakers that I will include. Although the car came with an aftermarket radio that turns on but doesn't seem to want to play. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't. I never got around to looking into that.
The top is brand new. Aftermarket but brand new. Just had it re-installed by a professional and it now fits perfectly and doesn't leak. The previous owner tried to install it himself but it didn't line up properly, so I had it redone completely.
Car does not come with the wheels pictures. The original wheels are in rough shape, but have good tires on them and are included in the purchase price. They are straight, but they just need to be refinished (approx $100each). If you would like the wheels pictured, I will include them instead of the originals for an additional $800 on top of the final bid price. I also have a set of replica BBS LM style 19" wheels and tires in excellent condition that I can include instead of the originals, for the same $800.
Mechanically, the car is really solid. The engine pulls as strong, if not stronger than my other 90k mile roadster. The clutch feels as if it's brand new. The I just changed the valve cover gasket and spark plugs. I just installed new belts and pulleys. Looks like it had a coolant system upgrade/replacement relatively recently. Starts right up and runs perfectly every time.
Brakes are pretty new all around.
Suspension is ok, but needs new shocks.
The rear diff mount/trunk floor looks to be in solid shape to me from looking in the trunk and under the car.
The roof is pretty new from the previous owner, but the power function does not work. Only manually. All the parts are intact and in good shape visually, but this is another item I never looked into as it was not a huge concern for me. It operates very easily by hand.

This is a solid car that just needs some attention to make it really great again.
