Seller Description

I just recently spent a few days driving an E90 M3 at on the Nurburgring and now I’m considering switching out one or two of cars for a new toy. I’m posting a few details here about my M Roadster first before posting it online in case this is something that catches the eye of a fellow MZ3 enthusiast and the car can stay in the bimmerforums community. This car would be perfect for someone looking for a well sorted car that needs nothing and steers, shifts and rides like a new car. I don’t expect to get most of what I’ve invested back, so this will be a great deal for someone looking for a car that won’t need expensive repairs or service anytime soon.

I’ll keep the details short for this post, but for those seriously interested I have stacks of receipts, records and information, as this car has been meticulously maintained since new. All modifications have been installed over the past year and tastefully done with the highest quality products.
Details: 1998 Arctic Silver, 98,000 miles, California car sold new in San Jose with matching hard top. I have all of the original books and paperwork, convertible boot, roll hoop net, even a never before used main key.
Externally the front bumper has had the corner lights deleted and is spotless with no stone chips or scrapes. Headlights and taillights are OEM BMW European components. Interior is black, stock and clean with the exception of an Alpine system with ipod integration installed by the previous owner.

Soft top is in great condition, rear window was replaced with a new BMW OEM window and is spotless and scratch free. Hardtop is in excellent condition and includes the factory defroster kit installed when originally sold.

Mechanically the car runs like new because I had a comprehensive service performed and a number of items upgraded a few thousand miles ago in preparation for 100K. Service included:
Brakes: New slotted front brakes and pads and brake fluid flush.
Suspension: turnermotorsports Bilstein suspension kit with H&Rs, new tower mounts, aluminum rear mounts, new control arms, BMW Motor$port off camber bushings, new sway bar links, DINAN strut tower brace, alignment, etc.
Engine: DINAN carbon fiber CAI, Bosch 4+ Platinums, Mobil 1 5w30 (always!), new engine mounts, exhaust pipe gaskets, new water pump, fan clutch, thermostat, etc.
Transmission: New Sachs clutch kit installed, with all new accompanying components, transmission pin service performed on all 5 gears, new transmission mounts, fluid, Guibo, etc.

In addition I have thousands in receipts for other services including a new OEM BMW Steering rack to replace a leaking unit. Considering asking price of $15.5K. If interested contact me via IM or by email at (combine and erase spaces) dnik aiy n@yahoo .com

Cheers,
Daniel

After a year off the market it's back and looks even nicer. Price has increased to $15,500 from $12,750 though.

Sold 5/2/12 - Listing deleted, looks like it sold.

This sounds like a very nice M Roadster. It's had the all important cooling system update done, a few nice upgrades, and a color-matched hardtop. The seller also seems to be very honest and forthcoming. I think the price is pretty decent on a well-cared for car.
