Seller Description

This car is a true classic. Beautiful lines, great performance and recognition anywhere you go. This vehicle is Esoril Blue with Black top and interior. About 2 years ago (and less than 2,000 miles) I replaced everything that remotely looked like it needed replacement. This included the brakes, rotors, belts and transmission couplings and mounts. All fluids were changed (actually this has been done on schedule for the life of the car). All parts and fluids used were from BMW – no cheap replacement parts.

This car is fast, stable and solid. It has never been wrecked nor has it had any type of body or paintwork. The paint looks like new. Actually the car is often mistaken for a very late model. It has been garage kept and well maintained. Includes cover for lowered top and the top is motor driven.

As with any car that has been on the road for any time, there are a couple (and only a couple) of minor paint nicks. The spoiler scraped over a parking barrier and left some scrapes at the very bottom of the air dam.

The engine is the BMW M class 6 cylinder. Quiet, smooth and powerful yet it provides good fuel economy. The tires are relatively new high quality and high performance models with excellent tread. The exhaust is stock with a mellow tone.

I have enjoyed this car since I bought it in 1999. It has given great service but with changes in my lifestyle, I rarely drive it now and it deserves to be driven. It makes a great daily driver or a weekend fun car.

7/18/12 Update - Bidding got up to $11,200, but did not meet the reserve

Seems like a good price considering all the good recent maintenance. It's nice to find a long time owner too. The photos look very nice.
