  • Roadstars painted two-tone with Duplicolor Wheel paint
  • Dunlop Direzza Star Specs in plus zero size
  • Interior chrome trim I picked up in Germany. Double sided adhesive if you want to remove it.
  • ZHP shift knob (not illuminated)
  • Silver hardtop currently mounted
  • Magnetic stone fender guards in black
  • Black front grills
  • Coco mats in black with blue dots
  • Leather Armrest/console with storage and two cupholders
  • Clear bumper markers (I think I have the original orange ones in a box)
  • GM rearview mirror (non dimming, but better location with lights and gary's mirror adapter)
  • AC Schnitzer pedal covers
  • H&R 5mm spacers - front with longer lug bolts
  • Turner motorsport front hub extenders

Issues

  • Front fender liners took a beating at the one track day the car saw; some wear through
  • Car was lightly hit on the front drivers fender. I was never happy with the repair, but got tired of fighting with the shop. Have pics of the damage. The lines are pretty good, but the paint looks thin to me. They replaced the front bumper with a remanufactured one since the mounts were broken on the original.
  • There were some scratches in the paint on the drivers rear fender and it appeared that the car had taken a bump on the trunklid before I bought it. Prior owner says it was like that when he bought it. Took it in to have that repaired and discovered some paint flaking on the passenger door at the bottom lip. Shop could not determine if it was a prior repair or not. There is a dent in the rocker cover on that side, so I have always assumed something happened to the car, but it does not show on the Carfax. Had everything except the rocker cover fixed.
  • Stock knob got ripped off by the body shop and shorted the dash illumination module. I used the fix from the forums and bypassed the pot with a soldered wire, so the dash lights are always at full brightness.
  • Soft top is beginning to show its age. Rear window is pretty hazed and the window seal has cracked completely off in some spots. A few small superficial tears in the top, but last I had it up, it was as water tight as a convertible can be.
  • There is a scratch through the paint on the hardtop. I had planned on painting it white, so I never addressed it.
  • Good sized scrape from a parking garage entrance on the bottom lip of the front bumper cover. I patched it up by hand with some filler and alpine white paint from the dealer.
  • I got tired of pulling the carpeted panel back to install/adjust the coilovers in the rear, so I just sliced through it to make a slot for my hand/tools.
  • Subwoofer trim needs work. I used spray adhesive instead of headliner glue and could not get the vinyl the way I wanted it. I got lazy and slapped a piece of aluminum around it to trim it out expecting to someday finish it properly. 5 years later and it is still that way.
  • After washing the car or driving on a wet road, the alarm will often refuse to arm or it will arm and false shortly afterwards. I am betting it is the hood sensor
  • Interior and trunk light bulbs removed. I kept draining the battery by not shutting the door or trunk all the way in the garage, this was an easy solution.
  • Both seatbelt guides are broken (common issue).

Stuff I was planning before 60K miles

  • Water pump may need attention soon, as a known issue
  • These cars are known for subframe issues. Keeping an eye on spot welds, so far so good.
  • Trans & Diff fluids
  • New rear window if you want to run the soft top

My Comments

Sold 10/9/12 - Sold for $14,000. Congrats to the new owner!

9/19/12 Update - Now on Ebay too at $14,000 and no reserve. Good deal!

This is a pretty rare color combo with just 84 being built. It also has a blue soft top too. It's seems to have been well taken care of by an enthusiast owner. The hard top, coilovers and exhaust are great too. It's also had some good recent maintenance. The seller is upfront with it's issues, but none of them seem like very big deals. The price seems fair to me, especially with all the upgrades.
