2000 BMW M Roadster manual shifter. Rare M Roadster, not a base Z3. Wide body, aggressive styling, M badges, performance package, bigger wheels / tires etc. Great looking iconic collector sports car.
Approx 119xxx miles. 5 speed manual. Rare Oxford Green Metallic with black leather interior. Runs fantastic, drives great. Sounds great. Dinan performance upgrade by BMW dealer in 2017. Good tires. Starts up immediately even when its been sitting a long time. Has current tabs. A/C and seat heaters work. Stored over winter.
Great 20' car = the paint has seen better days (worn areas, scratches, a few minor dings, could use new paint if that matters to you) but body is straight, rust free. Interior is mostly in great condition (no tears or wear areas on leather seats, dash pad is in great condition) but has some minor cosmetic flaws interior, a few loose pieces (easy fixes if you are handy). I bought new floor mats for it in 2017, bought a few trim pieces to swap out (M logo for rear trunk, hood badge is already replaced recently etc). Have some of the pieces still in a bag I have not gotten to install yet, easy fixes if you are handy.
Was pre sale inspected by BMW dealer in 2016 when I purchased it, was in good overall condition (have copy of inspection to share in person) and items noted (drive belts, oil leak) have been fixed by BMW tech since then with BMW OEM genuine parts. Very few miles on it since then, have been too busy with work to enjoy driving it as much as we had planned. It has an airbag light on, I didn't care to chase after due to age and miles. I have two keys for it, no owners manual. Side windows are sometimes slower moving but still function up and down currently. Radio needs code from BMW for radio, was working but took battery out over winter, now its asking for code.
Convertible top is in really good overall condition on the outside, has a loose area on underneath side (could be hand sewn back in place, I have not had time). Manual top easy to operate. Does not have the convertible boot cover, did not have it when I bought it. (Easily available off other sites). I DO have a wind screen in excellent condition that I purchased for it last year (mounts on headrests to reduce wind back flow inside cabin with top down). Rear window is clean and clear to see thru (likely was replaced at some point as its not yellowed like most older ones are).
BMW Dealer performed Dinan performance upgrade in 2017. This improves HP from 240 to 250 hp. Improves torque from 236 lbs-ft to 246 lbs-ft at 3,800 rpm. Impressive to drive and sounds great. Very responsive.
If paint and few minor trim pieces were perfect this would be marketable (with current miles) at $12,900-$14000 range. Asking reduced value of $10,999 FIRM IS reflective of items noted in this ad and paint condition. Not negotiable. No low ball offers. NOT a must sell. Low miles for the year. Its a great deal on a rare, very fun, iconic sports car for someone who has always wanted this model. Someone who wants to improve it over time as these are coveted M's likely to increase in value in future years.
Has been in storage since last year. Husband has broken leg from a bad accident and cannot even fit in it right now w cast so I either store it for future summer fun or sell it to serious buyer.
