Seller Description

I'm selling my 2000 BMW M Roadster.

It's an S52 -- 240hp 3.2L straight 6 with a 7000rpm redline, same as the M3 at the time.

I bought it at 150k miles from a local used car dealer. It already had a Dinan cold air intake and was tuned. Since I've bought it, I've:
- Replaced the alternator
- Replaced the airbag module
- Replaced rear view mirror
- Replaced stock shift knob (previous owner had a metal ball knob)
- Replaced stock radio (the hard-to-find original BMW business radio / CD43)
- Added bluetooth (integrates with stock radio!)
- Replaced blown subwoofer + amp
- Fixed the sagging glove box
- Replaced the seat bushings (no more typical sliding seat)
- Replaced broken seat belt guides
- Replaced ignition coils, spark plugs, valve cover gasket
- Replaced all fluids (always use Mobil 1 LL01 oil)
- Replaced tires with Michelin Pilot Sport 4
- lots of other minor cosmetic fixes
I had it inspected by a few different BMW mechanics before I bought it, and all repairs have been done by a BMW-specific shop.

The car has been a daily driver for the past few years and has gone on more than road trip, and I've never had any issues. The engine has been flawless. That being said, this car is high mileage and is not without issues, mostly cosmetic or general wear items:
- The rear view window probably should be replaced -- it's pretty scratched and not very clear at night.
- The shifter assembly should be replaced -- Because of the previous owner, the shift lever had been modified to fit a different shift knob :( The stock shift knob is slightly loose now. (I have the parts for this)
- The drive shaft center support bearing probably needs to be replaced -- there's a knock if you don't shift smoothly.
- Cruise control doesn't work
- Some brake squeal (plenty of life left in pads)
- Cosmetics: A few small dents and scratches, two chips in the windshield (were there when I bought it, not growing), wear in driver's side seat leather, analog clock on dash broken

I have several parts waiting to be replaced when the clutch wears out -- all shift bearings, a new shift lever and linkage, flex disc, etc. So far the clutch has been holding very strong. I also planned to replace all the speakers but never got around to it, so I have a set of replacement speakers if you want them.

I'm moving to NYC, so the car has to go :( Please make me an offer! I'm flexible on price, but I already have an offer from Shift, so no lowballs.

Lots of miles, but it seems like it has been well taken care of. All the recent maintenance is great. The price seems fair.
