Seller Description

This 1998 BMW Z3 M Roadster is one of 356 examples produced for the North American market that were finished in Arctic Silver Metallic over Imola Red and black Nappa leather. Power is provided by a 3.2-liter S52 inline-six mated to a five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential, and equipment includes a black soft top, cruise control, air conditioning, power accessories, heated sport seats, quad exhaust outlets, and a cassette stereo paired with a Harman Kardon audio system and a trunk-mounted six-disc CD changer. The car spent time in Nebraska before it relocated in June 1999 to Kansas, where it was acquired by the seller’s mother-in-law in 2008. This M Roadster now has 23k miles and is offered on behalf of its current owner by her son-in-law with a copy of the Davis report, a wind deflector, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Kansas title.

The exterior is finished in Arctic Silver Metallic (309) and features a power-retractable black convertible top, a front spoiler, black door handles, rollover hoops, quad exhaust outlets, and a clamshell hood with side vents. The seller notes that scrapes are visible under the front spoiler.

Factory 17″ staggered-width Style 40 ‘Roadstar’ wheels are wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport tires that measure 225/45 up front and 245/40 out back.

The interior features heated sport seats upholstered in Imola Red and black Nappa leather (Q6IM) with a matching red and black two-tone center console, dashboard, and door panels. Amenities include cruise control, air conditioning, a wind deflector, cassette storage slots, power accessories, M-branded floor mats, and a cassette stereo paired with a Harman Kardon audio system and a trunk-mounted six-disc CD changer. The seller notes a tear in the passenger seat bottom and that the driver’s seatbelt guide is broken.

The leather-wrapped steering wheel features red inserts and tri-color Motorsport stitching and frames an 8k-rpm tachometer, a 160-mph speedometer, and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. Auxiliary gauges are mounted in the center console. The digital odometer indicates just over 23k miles, fewer than 2k of which were added by the current owner since 2008.

The 3.2-liter S52 inline-six was factory rated at 240 horsepower and 236 lb-ft of torque. A copy of the Davis report is shown in the gallery below.

Power is sent to the rear wheels via a ZF five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Additional underside photos are provided in the gallery below.

The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists registration and service history in Nebraska and Kansas from its first entry in May 1999 through its most recent in April 2021.
