The car is a 1998 BMW M Roadster. It is finished in Cosmos Black Metallic over Black Nappa Leather. Power comes from a 3.2-Liter S52 inline-six mated to a five speed manual transmission. Equipment includes a power-operated convertible top, 17" Roadstar Wheels, heated sports seats, air conditioning, and power windows and locks.
The odometer shows 67,722 miles. I purchased the car in 2012 from the second owner. I then replaced the convertible top, had the front end repainted (lots of curb rash and rock chips). I had 13 door dings removed (no paint issues as a result). The radio went out last year and I had a new system installed for $1100 (speakers were fine). Auto Edge, White Bear Lake, MN has performed all service requirements with the exception of tires, and two oil changes. The previous owner also used Auto Edge. As of last fall's annual inspection (at 66783 miles) and oil change, the front brakes showed 8mm left and the back brakes 11mm remaining. The front tires show 9/32 mm remaining and the rear 11mm. Auto Edge stated that the water pump drive belt is starting to dry out and the front flex disk in the driveshaft is cracked. Auto Edge stated that they were not in danger of failing, but recommended that they be replaced at some point in the future. Other than the above, I am not aware of any required repairs. This car has been meticulously cared for.
I have a cover for the car, the original radio, and original owner's manual. I believe that Auto Edge has complete history of the services performed by them.
The car is a strong runner, in excellent condition. Never been on the track.
