Seller Description

We proudly offer this 1998 BMW E36/7 Z3 M Roadster, featuring Imola Red paint over a grey and black Nappa leather interior. Debuting at the 1996 Geneva Motor Show, the Z3 M Roadster blends the unique styling of the Z3 convertible with the robust powertrain of an E36 M3. Showing just over 31k miles and the recent recipient of a 40+ hour detail including a full paint correction, this S52-powered, 5-speed manual Z3 M Roadster is now being offered for auction out of Texas.

This M Roadster comes factory finished in Imola Red and equipped with 17" BMW Style 40 wheels dressed in Continental ExtremeContact tires. Compared to a standard Z3, the M Roadster features wide fender flares as well as redesigned bumpers, side gills, quad exhaust tips, and mirrors. The caretaker of this Z3 is noted to be the owner of a detailing company that recently completed extensive paint correction and ceramic coating. The seller notes two noticeable rock chips on the front bumper and two small scratches on the car that were too deep to be removed during the car's intensive paint correction. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.

Inside, this Z3 M Roadster wears a grey and black Nappa leather interior with an upgraded OEM-style Continental Bluetooth radio and an OEM-style armrest center console with cupholders. Additional interior amenities include cruise control, power windows and locks, and a Harman Kardon stereo system. Instrumentation behind the M Sport multifunction steering wheel includes a 160-MPH speedometer and an 8K RPM tachometer.

An S52 inline six-cylinder engine powers the Z3 M Roadster, producing up to 240 HP and 236 lb.-ft of torque. Power goes to the rear wheels via a 5-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The seller notes routine oil changes were completed every 4k miles during their ownership and that all fluids were flushed and replaced in late 2020.

The sale of this vehicle will include a clean title.

Previous Listing:
I've owned this car for a little over a year but it's been one of the best vehicles I've ever owned. As soon as I picked it up, the vehicle immediately received a 40+ hour detail. This included putting the vehicle on a lift, taking the wheels off, performing a full paint correction and then applying a 5 year ceramic coating. If you couldn't already tell from the pictures, this 23 year old paint shines like new. The car has been recently serviced at a well-known shop in Houston and has absolutely zero issues seriously, the shop couldn't find anything wrong with it. I recently replaced the rear convertible window and added a Bluetooth radio. This roadster has been an absolute blast to own and I wish I could keep it, but I need to let it go for the sake of freeing up some money to invest back into my business.

Back on the market after 9 months. It has a few more miles, but they are still very low. Price reduced to $28,500 from $35,000 which seems fair for the color combo and condition.
