Seller Description

This 2001 BMW M Roadster was delivered new to Stevens Creek BMW in Santa Clara, California, and spent time in Michigan before it was acquired by the current owner in June 2021. The car is powered by a 3.2-liter S54 inline-six mated to a five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential, and it is finished in Titanium Silver Metallic over black Nappa leather. Equipment includes 17? Style 40 wheels, a black convertible top, an Alpine CD stereo, air conditioning, heated seats, and cruise control. Work performed since 2021 included the installation of Dinan Stage 1 engine performance software and the replacement of the fuel pump, valve cover gasket, drive belts, and rear differential speed sensor. This M Roadster has 61k miles and is now offered by the seller on behalf of the owner with a window sticker, manufacturer’s literature, service records, three keys, spare and removed parts, accessories, and a clean Pennsylvania title in the owner’s name.

This M Roadster is finished in Titanium Silver Metallic with a replacement power-operated black convertible top, and features include VipmotoZ projector headlamps, black kidney grilles, front fender vents, removable magnetic stone guards, a shortened antenna, and quad exhaust outlets. The Carfax report shows a police report was filed for damage that likely occurred between February 2002 and February 2005, and the seller states that the soft top was cut and the radio was stolen in 2004. The Carfax lists a second damage report in March 2014 resulting in damage to the left front and left side, and the seller notes that the left front fender was replaced after the car hit a mailbox. Separation is visible at the bottom left of the soft-top window, and paint blemishes are present on the front bumper.

Replacement 17? Style 40 wheels are mounted with 245/40 front and 275/40 rear Continental ExtremeContact Sport tires showing 2020 and 2021 date codes. Curb marks are visible on the wheels. Turner Motorsport polyurethane front control arm bushings were installed under previous ownership, and the car is equipped with Dynamic Stability Control, All-Season Traction (AST), and four-wheel disc brakes with cross-drilled rotors. The brake pads and rotors were replaced in 2021, per the seller.

The cabin features black Nappa leather covering the heated sport seats, door panel inserts, and center console. Amenities include dual roll hoops, air conditioning, cruise control, Dinan pedal covers, and an Alpine CD stereo. A short-shifter has been installed, and the driver and passenger seat bushings were reportedly replaced under current ownership. Wear is visible on the driver’s seat outer bolster.

An aftermarket leather-wrapped steering wheel features tri-color stitching and frames a tachometer with an 8k-rpm redline, a 170-mph speedometer, and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates just under 61k miles, approximately 1k of which have been added under current ownership.

The 3.2-liter S54B32 inline-six features double-VANOS variable valve timing and has been modified with Dinan Stage 1 engine performance software that was installed in October 2021. A Bavarian Autosport strut tower brace spans the engine bay. The fuel pump, valve cover gasket, and drive belts were replaced in March 2021, and an oil change was performed in April 2022.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a ZF five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The rear differential speed sensor was replaced in March 2021.

The window sticker shows initial delivery to Stevens Creek BMW in Santa Clara, California, as well as factory equipment and a total suggested retail price of $46,835. Manufacturer’s literature, service records, three keys, a battery maintainer, a boot cover, and a collection of spare and removed parts are included in the sale.

The Carfax report shows the aforementioned damage reports and lists history in California, Michigan, and Pennsylvania.

This roadster was most recently for sale at a dealership in Michigan about 18 months ago. It has aftermarket headlights, black kidney grills, magnetic stone guards, and refinished roadstar wheels on the outside. On the inside it has aftermarket audio, aluminum pedals, and a pretty cool flat bottom steering wheel. No bids yet.
