Seller Description

This 1998 BMW M Roadster is finished in Imola Red over black Nappa leather and is powered by a 3.2-liter S52 inline-six paired with a five-speed manual transmission. The car has spent time in New Jersey, Ohio, and West Virginia where its 39k miles have been added, and it is equipped with Shadow-finished 17″ Style 40 wheels, a limited-slip differential, a black convertible soft top, heated sport seats, and a Harman Kardon sound system. Recently purchased by the selling dealer, this M Roadster is now offered with the owner’s manual, service records, spare parts, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Pennsylvania title.

This M Roadster is one of 191 finished in Imola Red over black Nappa leather for the North American market for the model year. Features include a replacement power-operated black convertible soft top, front fender vents, and quad exhaust outlets. The rear bumper has a scrape behind the right-rear wheel.

Shadow-finished 17″ Style 40 wheels are mounted with Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ tires. Braking is handled by four-wheel ventilated discs. The front and rear sway bar bushings and end links were replaced in October 2022.

The cabin features black Nappa leather covering the heated sport seats, door panel inserts, and center console. Amenities include roll hoops, air conditioning, cruise control, a CD/cassette stereo, a wind deflector, and a Harman Kardon sound system. The left door speaker grille is discolored and the driver’s seat outer bolster and air conditioning button are worn.

The M-branded leather-wrapped steering wheel features tri-color stitching and frames a tachometer with a 6,800-rpm redline, a 160-mph speedometer, and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 39k miles.

The 3.2-liter S52B32 inline-six features VANOS variable valve timing and was factory rated at 240 horsepower and 236 lb-ft of torque.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a ZF five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential.

Spare parts, manufacturer’s literature, and partial service records are included in the sale.

The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists history in New Jersey, Ohio, and West Virginia.

We last saw this roadster for sale in West Virginia about a year ago. It only has a few more miles leaving the overall mileage very low. Bidding up to $1,500.00 so far.
