Seller Description

I am looking to trade for an E39 M5 as the time has come where I could probably use the extra doors. I would prefer an 2001+ but I am open to hear all options. I can do cash for a trade up or down.

The car is also for sale. My asking price is $16500.

Since you are on this forum you probably know exactly what you are looking at. Only 1600 of these cars were made with the S54 for the 2001 - 2002 model years. The car is 315 hp and a ton of fun with the top down!

I purchased this car with 68k miles and have taken it on several roadtrips (~5 of 12 hours each). About 80% of the miles I have put on the car are highway. Never let me down and it has always been a blast. The Artic silver on Imola red leather is a stunning and classic color combination. The car has all of the options of which I am aware that were available for the M roadster in '01. The stereo has also been upgraded with better speakers and a mediabridge (bluetooth).

When I got the car, it was in OK shape but not up to my standards. $6000 invested later and I can say this car is honestly getting close to showroom fresh. The car has been inspected and worked on by the BMW experts at Harrison Motorsports outside Atlanta. They also installed the subframe reinforcement kit over a period of two weeks. Mechanically, the car is a 10/10. the exterior is a conservative 7/10 (probably more like an 8, typical rock chips have been touched up), interior is an 8/10

I have the maintenance receipts from myself and the previous owner, totaling $9000 over two years. Tires are Bridgestone Potenzas and look like new. This car is completely mechanically sound and needs nothing but oil changes for the foreseeable future! Washed and waxed twice a month. Comes with a custom car cover and the original soft top cover.

(have receipts for most in my folder)

Back on the market. Now instead of a cracked diff mount it has a Randy Forbes kit.

This roadster was recently for sale in Arlington, VA. It does look to be in pretty nice cosmetic shape. The slight subframe cracking is obviously a big deal though. I appreciate the seller being upfront about it though.
