This 2002 BMW E36/7 M Roadster is 1 of 19 Alpine White over Black Nappa Leather cars produced that year. And this one is even rarer considering it received a brand new BMW built, 315 hp / 251 ft-lbs S54B32 inline-6 engine (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BMW_M54#S54) that was BMW Dealer installed at 49,100 miles in July 2011. That makes it arguably the lowest mileage S54 M Roadster engine available in the country. The well-known spun rod bearing issue also warranted a brand new clutch and dual-mass flywheel at that time. This 3+ month repair was quoted at $24,000, but BMW of North America stepped up and paid 50% of the bill in order to help keep, what they considered, a well preserved and cared for enthusiast future classic on the road. The parts and labor were also BMW warranted for 2 years/unlimited miles, and although that time has passed, you can rest assured the work was performed by the best. Further, BMW of NA even replaced the clutch and dual-mass flywheel for added reliability before delivering the car back to me.

I bought the car from the 3rd owner (+1 for the car broker that sold it to him) in 2010. It was a BMW CPO car after the original lessee. I had the car inspected at a dealer before purchase to ensure there were zero rear subframe or bushing issues. It has BMW dealer installed fog lights with integrated switch, the original boot for the convertible top, heated seats, power windows and top, and cold A/C. The previous owner added Bilstein shocks/struts and H&R springs to lower the ride height slightly while maintaining ride quality and significantly improving handling (I have the original suspension components).
