It hasn't had any accidents and the engine and transmission are in very good condition, runs and shifts very smooth. Clutch is in great shape, engages perfectly. The suspension is excellent. The rear sub-frame, a common and expensive issue with these cars has been rebuilt and reinforced. Other items replaced in the last few years: Front and rear shocks, inner outer tie rods, front control arms. Brakes and fluids have been replaced recently as well.
This car is a great car. I am the third owner and have had it for about 10 years. Almost all mileage was put on before I owned it, current mileage is 164,695, the mileage is deceiving, it looks almost new. I purchased the car from a long time college friend of 25 years, he took very good care of it also. The car was a hobby for me. I loved owning it and updating it. Recent changes in my work (I relocated to Japan) doesn't give me the time to visit the US and enjoy it anymore. I am looking for another BMW enthusiast who will treat it right.
