1 owner, bought brand. 100% garaged since new, every single day, all day. (I work from home). Truly a weekend sunny day ride, with the odometer just turning 40,000.
The engine was extremely carefully broken in, declining even the free gas fill-up at the dealer. Break in was on the thinner BMW oil installed at Greenville. Her first oil change to the heavy racing oil was at 500 miles. (I believe you get a safer, better lubricated break-in on the thinner oil). Until around 30,000 miles, I could still feel performance gains! The oil level on the stick does not move at all between oil changes.
Upgraded Fosgate Amp and high end kick panel speakers, and the factory add- on subwoofer kit. CD Changer in trunk.
The color is the rich dark metallic Oxford Green II, that in the sun "shifts" back and forth to black/green! An exciting "mature" color for a very discerning buyer. I just had installed -my first- replacement clear rear window. That proves the garage time!
I have some tasteful upgrades...
-
Jim Conforti. "Shark" software
-
Strong Strut beautifully chromed steel strut brace AND THEIR BODY BRACE. Does she ever handle... Just amazing, the best handling car I was ever in, (but I'm no race driver).
-
Several leather items inside, arm rests, shifter pad, other tidbits from LeatherZ.
-
K&N High Performance Air Filter
-
Stainless Steel "Roadster" License Plate Frame
-
Chromed oil filter cover, coolant tank cover, engine lift bracket. (Ron Stygar productions)
She has been uber reliable. About 5 years ago it got a new fuel pump. Mileage is an EXCELLENT even 24 at 80 MPH. Carefully tested. 24@80. So highway trips are very economical.
A low mileage, one owner, entire day garage kept, M/// Roadster is now an appreciating asset. Keep her safe, maintained, and the finish kept A-1, you will not lose money on this particular vehicle, depending of course on the mileage you put on.
