Seller Description

For sale is my 1998 Z3M Roadster. 5 speed manual convertible with a clean Illinois title. The car is completely rust free, and I am the third owner. It started out in Texas, and when it came to Illinois the second owner kept it in the garage most of the time and I have done the same. It has never seen snow, with limited rain.

Since acquiring it almost two years ago, I have enjoyed every bit of it. For those who may not be familiar with the M roadster, this motor has the same S52 motor that was in the E36 M3. It has about 240 HP. Out of all the Z3's produced, there were only about 10,000 that were M roadsters in North America. Less than 2,000 of them were Imola Red like this one. It is a blast to drive, and I am selling simply because I no longer have the space for it.

The car is in fantastic condition, with the exception of some minor paint chips in the front as well as some leather wear, mostly on the drivers seat which is to be expected over time. Mechanically it is nearly perfect. The only thing I can think of that is actually wrong with it is the fact that 1 of 2 of the license place bulbs are out. It was like this when I initially purchased it and I never fixed it.

The car is nearly all original. The one major change I did was having HID Bi-Xenons retrofitted into the headlights. The stock lighting was pretty terrible, and I wanted something more functional. I shipped my headlamp housings to a respectable member of the BMW community, who used his own bracket design to mount the headlights to the housing. I also switched out the stock shift knob for the popular weighted ZHP shift knob.

Asking $16,000 or best offer.

The headlight retrofit looks great. It seems to be in nice condition over all. The price seems fair.
